Assistant Professor - Philosophy (Ethics), tenure track position beginning Fall 2012.  Central Washington University, Ellensburg, WA. AOS: Ethics (theoretical rather than applied). AOC: Ancient (required) and Philosophy of Law (preferred), especially in international issues.  The department has a strong and very active philosophy major and minor, a new ethics minor, and a lively specialization in religious studies. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will involve teaching seven courses a year (quarter system), including general education and major courses in philosophy; supervising senior theses; advisement; performing customary service; active and productive scholarship. Ph.D. in philosophy required prior to 16 September 2012; must have demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and scholarship; experience working with multicultural curriculum preferred.
