Job description |
The Department of Philosophy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a Lecturer for the 2018/2019 academic year, with a target start date of August 16, 2018. 6 courses/year (3/semester). Anticipated courses include multiple sections of Introduction to Philosophy (PHIL 100/101), Biomedical Ethics (PHIL 214), and mixed graduate and undergraduate course in normative ethics and/or metaethics. Required: Ph.D. prior to start date and evidence of teaching experience. Experience with large lectures and/or with advanced courses in the specified areas strongly preferred. This is a full time, 9-month appointment. Salary is commensurate with experience. Renewal of position is possible and contingent on availability of funding, departmental need, strong enrollments, and strong performance reviews.
