Job description

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN CONCEPTUAL ASPECTS OF EVOLUTION AND GENOMICS

Cross-appointed in Dalhousie's Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and its Department of Philosophy, the Fellow would pursue investigation in foundations of genomics and evolution, for instance, the meaning of function in cellular or community contexts, multilevel selection theory or individuality.  Recent PhD in Philosophy/History of Science.  Appointment beginning after August 1, 2018 (with termination on March 31, 2020).  Salary $46,000/annum plus available fringe benefits and support for conference travel.  Canadians and non-Canadians equally considered.  Possibility but not requirement for teaching.  Contact Ford Doolittle - [email protected]
