The Department of Philosophy at the University of California, Riverside invites applications in the following areas – AOS: 19th and 20th Century European Philosophy. Rank: Associate or Full Professor. The position includes graduate and undergraduate teaching, 4 courses per year on the quarter system, thesis supervision, and standard non- teaching duties. Candidates will have an established record of excellence in research and teaching and must be committed to teaching effectively at all levels, including graduate mentoring. Ph.D. in Philosophy is required. Salary commensurate with education and experience. Position available July 1, 2019. The successful candidate will join an active, collegial and nationally ranked Department, which is known for its strengths in 19th and 20th century European Philosophy. Many faculty work in multiple areas and there is significant interaction between the different areas of strength in the Department. UCR is a world class research university located close to multiple other research universities with an exceptionally diverse student body. It had one of the most diverse undergraduate student bodies in the nation.
