The Department of Philosophy at Bilkent University invites applications for two full-time junior positions. Applicants should hold a PhD in philosophy at the time of appointment. All candidates should have an active research agenda. Women are encouraged to apply.

The Department’s philosophical orientation is analytical, broadly understood. Current members of the department work and publish in all major areas of contemporary analytic philosophy, as well as in the history of philosophy. The Department currently has ten full-time members, of which seven are international faculty. The Department currently has B.A. and M.A. programs. It is anticipated that a doctoral program will begin in the near future.

As research is a priority at Bilkent University, its support includes grants for conference travel and the possibility of sabbatical leave following the third year. Successful applicants will benefit from a reduced teaching load during the first two years.
