UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT SAN ANTONIO.  San Antonio, TX.  


Rank:  Assistant Professor, tenure-track, teaching load 2/2. (AOS):  Ethics. (AOC): (preferred) Latin American Philosophy, Social/Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Race, Philosophy of Gender, or Philosophy of Language. 

Responsibilities include developing a strong research program, teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentorship to graduate students, and service to the department, college, and university.  Required qualifications are a Ph.D. in Philosophy by August 15, 2019, and include a current research program that exhibits strong potential for outstanding scholarship and demonstrated teaching competence.  Preferred qualifications include demonstrated teaching excellence in courses that augment the Department’s current offerings. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. 

 The Department of Philosophy and Classics offers three BA degrees (Classical Studies and Humanities, Medical Humanities, and Philosophy), and the MA in Philosophy.
