Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at Vassar College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin in August of 2019.

AOS: Twentieth Century Continental philosophy.

AOC: Gender Studies or Philosophy of Race or Philosophy of Art and Media or Environmental Philosophy or Social and Political Theory or an underrepresented philosophical tradition (e.g., Africana, Indian, Indigenous American, Islamic, Jewish, or Latin American philosophy).

Salary competitive, teaching load is 2-2 in the first year and 2-3 thereafter (semester system), undergraduate only, with usual non-teaching duties. PhD expected by time of appointment.
