Job description |
Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA. Full-Time Lecturer (renewable, not tenure eligible). AOS in one and AOC in another of the following areas: Philosophy of Race, Philosophy of Religion, Philosophy of Disability, or African, Indian, Latin American, Native American, Indigenous, or Post-Colonial Philosophy. Course load: 4/4. Successful candidate will teach primarily introductory-level philosophy courses, including Introduction to Philosophy and Introduction to Ethics, as well as upper-level courses that complement the department’s existing areas of curricular strength. Compelling evidence of teaching effectiveness and a commitment to undergraduate education and inclusive pedagogy required. PhD (preferred) or MA in Philosophy (or in a related field with 18 graduate-level credit hours in Philosophy) required by the time of application. ODU has a strong and active commitment to diversity.
