Job description

The Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream position in Moral/Political Philosophy at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2013, by which time the successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in, and commitment to, both research and teaching. The candidate’s research will focus on Moral/Political Philosophy broadly conceived. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach a broad range of courses from the introductory to advanced levels, contributing to the undergraduate program on the St. George campus. The University of Toronto, Department of Philosophy is a tri-campus graduate department, consisting of all philosophy faculty appointed to the St. George, Mississauga (UTM), and Scarborough (UTSC) campuses. Graduate teaching and supervision typically take place on the St. George campus. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
