The Philosophy Department in the College of Arts and Humanities at California State University, Dominguez Hills invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2019. We are seeking an outstanding candidate with a PhD in Philosophy, preferably completed. ABD applicants must have PhD in hand by July 1, 2019. AOS: Applied Ethics in the analytic tradition. AOC: Open, but with a demonstrated teaching record in one or more of the following areas: critical race, gender, or disability studies, American philosophy. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in these areas, and will be able and ready to contribute to the Philosophy program as a whole. Our program has a strong emphasis on the history of philosophy. In addition, our faculty teach numerous courses in the CSUDH G.E. program, especially courses in Critical Thinking.
