Job description

Wellesley College invites applications for a one-year visiting lectureship in philosophy.

AOS: Social and political philosophy (broadly construed)

AOC: Open

A total of 5 courses over two semesters, at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum. The AOS is social and political philosophy, broadly construed. Also open to candidates in moral theory whose teaching connects with social and political themes. The ability to teach courses in at least 2 of the following areas is essential: introductory political philosophy, global justice, inequality, philosophy of law, or moral psychology. Applicants who could teach some courses that address issues surrounding race, gender, class, or disability are particularly welcome.

Applicants must hold or be about to receive the Ph.D. Wellesley College is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and quality of the academic community through their research, teaching, and service.
