Job description

Department of Philosophy, University of Minnesota Duluth, Duluth MN. Assistant professor, full-time 2 year-position, beginning Fall 2019. Duties include teaching (currently 12 -16 credits per semester), research, and service. Required qualifications: AOS in Ethics OR Ancient Philosophy (Disjunctive); MA in Philosophy with confirmed ABD status (PhD posted on transcript by July 1, 2019); at least one year of college level Philosophy teaching (T.A. acceptable); demonstrated research program; excellent written and oral communication skills. Preferred qualifications: AOS in Ancient; AOC in Environmental Ethics, Social Political Philosophy; PhD at time of application; extensive teaching experience as primary instructor; demonstrated teaching breadth; established research record.
