Chair of Department

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Department of Philosophy at UTEP seeks a Chair to build a Ph.D. program

in our vibrant, ethnically diverse, community, on the Rio Grande. Areas of

specialization and competence are open. The successful candidate will

hold appropriate credentials to be hired at the rank of Professor or Associate

Professor, be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate

and graduate teaching and mentoring, and have a substantial research record

with the promise of continued productivity. The anticipated appointment date is

fall 2013.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Philosophy
