| Details | Assistant or early Associate Professor, tenure-track, beginning fall semester 2013. Four courses per year (2 per semester), undergraduate and graduate, thesis and dissertation supervision, and normal non-teaching duties. Ph.D. required prior to appointment. AOS: Some aspect of Metaphysics and Epistemology, broadly construed. The successful candidate must also have a strong teaching record. The Philosophy Department has a cooperative, constructive attitude towards philosophy. It values diversity among students, faculty and staff. Along with other considerations, candidates will be evaluated in terms of their ability to contribute in some way to the department's diversity mission. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Some summer teaching is occasionally possible. At least a semester of research leave is normally available prior to tenure. We have an active speaker series and new faculty will be able to direct a Kline workshop.
