Assistant Professor of philosophy

Assistant Professor of philosophy, tenure track at Dickinson College, a highly selective private liberal arts college. 5 course load.

We are seeking a philosopher who combines excellence in classroom teaching and philosophical scholarship, who values interactions with students inside and outside the classroom, and who is eager to develop new courses and expand areas of expertise.

AOS: ethics                                                                                                 

AOC: applied or social ethics; in addition we are particularly interested in candidates with competence in one or more of the following areas: Africana philosophy, Islamic philosophy, philosophy and neuroscience, moral psychology, environmental ethics

Ph.D in philosophy in hand before Fall 2013
