The Department of Philosophy is seeking to appoint a University Assistant without doctorate to a 4 year fixed term position. The detailed advertisement is below; for informal inquiries please contact Professor Lukas Meyer.

The Department of Philosophy is seeking to appoint a University Assistant without doctorate (20 hours a week; fixed-term employment for the period of 4 years; Envisaged Job Starting Date immediately )

Job specification:

  • writing of a dissertation in moral or political philosophy
  • participation in teaching and independent teaching
  • providing assistance to students
  • collaboration on research projects
  • administrative support

Professional qualifications:

  • completed Diploma or Master's Degree in Philosophy
  • very good command of English (desirable)

Personal profile:

  • communication and organisational skills and ability to work in teams
  • interdisciplinary research interest open to collaboration with other fields
  • enjoyment of working with students

Classification: Salary scheme of the Universitäten-KV (University Collective Agreement): B1

 


Minimum salary: 
The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 1266.00 gross/month. This minimum salary may be higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other earnings and remunerations.
