Philosophy - Assistant Professor

The School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts at the University of California, Merced invites applications for a tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor level.  AOS: experimental philosophy, philosophy of cognitive science, or philosophy of mind.  AOC: open. The search committee is especially interested in applicants who draw on empirical, computational, and / or mathematical methods in pursuing their philosophical research. The candidate chosen for this position will be expected to help develop a graduate track in experimental philosophy, as part of an established PhD program in Cognitive and Information Sciences. The candidate will also be expected to aid in the development of curricula at the undergraduate and graduate levels, advise graduate and undergraduate students, and participate in administrative activities.
