Visiting Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

As many as three Visiting Assistant Professors, one year, beginning August 11, 2019. AOS: Open. AOC: Open.   PhD or Advanced ABD.  Must be able to teach sections of introductory philosophy, or intro to ethics, and either Medical Ethics or Philosophy of Law.  Three introductory undergraduate courses for each of two semesters (Fall 2019 and Spring 2020); minimal departmental service. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to and appreciation for teaching students from diverse, multi-cultural backgrounds.  Salary $45,000, with benefits. Qualifications:
1.  PhD or ABD in Philosophy, or PhD or ABD in a closely related area, with a substantive training in philosophy and an active research program in philosophy

2. Ability to teach introductory courses in philosophy and/or Medical Ethics or Philosophy of Law.

3.  Commitment to teaching, multi-cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Ability to teach mid-level courses in metaphysics or social and political philosophy.
