The Department of Philosophy and Humanities at Utah Valley University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2013. AOS: Non-Western Philosophy.  AOC:  Open.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach multiple sections of Ethics and Values each year.  Ability to teach Ancient and/or Modern Legacies, a first-year interdisciplinary seminar taught through UVU’s Honors program, is a strong advantage. Teaching load is 4/4, upper and lower division, surveys and areas of specialization.  Course reductions may be possible. Ph.D. preferred, ABD with strong evidence of imminent completion will be considered.  Candidates must have experience teaching in a college/university setting and show evidence of commitment to teaching and scholarship.
