                                    POSITION IN PHILOSOPHY OF RELIGION

            Yale Divinity School seeks to make a tenure track appointment in the field of Philosophy of Religion to begin July 1, 2013.  In an ecumenical environment Yale Divinity School prepares students for ordained ministry in diverse Christian churches and for a wide range of professional involvements, including higher education, law, medicine, the arts, management, and public service.  A Ph. D. or its equivalent and strong potential as a teacher are required.   The successful candidate should have expertise in metaphysics and epistemology as these apply within the philosophy of religion and philosophical theology, and should be conversant with the Christian theological tradition together with the philosophy of religion more broadly construed.

            A letter of application with curriculum vitae, at least three letters of recommendation and a brief writing sample should be submitted to Dean Gregory E.
