Position title Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow (Philosophy) (EXPIRED)

ACU is committed to the significant growth of research in philosophy so as to make it one of the major areas of research at this University. As a result of recent appointments there are now eight full-time academic staff who will form a new institute dedicated to research in philosophy, and this year we seek an additional four scholars of outstanding potential and demonstrated achievement working in any central area of contemporary philosophical research, including ethics, epistemology, history of philosophy, philosophy of mind, language, and science, metaphysics, social, political and legal philosophy, logic, religion, and aesthetics..Successful applicants will work collegially and collaboratively to build their own research profiles of high-quality publications, and contribute to team projects.  

Research Fellows and Senior Research Fellows have a primary focus on research, but some teaching of graduate students may be part of the role.. Fellows may elect to teach undergraduate courses subject to agreement of the Institute Director.

Remuneration: Research Fellow salary starts at $98,407 + 17% employer superannuation contribution. Senior Research Fellow starts at $123,300 + 17% employer superannuation contribution. In addition, the roles attract a generous research allowance. The starting dates for appointees are open to negotiation
