Assistant or Associate Professor in Philosophy

BARD COLLEGE, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. Tenure track position in Philosophy beginning fall 2013. Rank: Assistant or Associate Professor. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment. Salary competitive; 3/2 teaching load and usual departmental and committee responsibilities; also senior thesis supervision. Class size: 25 or fewer for introductory courses, 15 or fewer for upper division courses. Clear potential for or achieved excellence in both teaching and research is essential. AOS: OPEN, but we have particular needs in the areas: (1) ethics and the history of moral and political philosophy and (2) epistemology and the philosophy of science. AOC: We would like to broaden our course offerings in contemporary philosophy, both Anglo-American and continental, and in feminist philosophy.
