Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy opening. This is a full-time, visiting, nine-month position with benefits beginning August 2019 and carrying a one-year term.   The assistant professor will carry a 4-4 teaching load and offer courses primarily for the undergraduate general education philosophy curriculum. The new hire will be able to carry out an ongoing research agenda, provide service to the department and University, and have the ability to service areas of the philosophy curriculum that serve the general education curriculum, e.g. Introduction to Philosophy, Introduction to Ethics, Business Ethics. Preference will be given to candidates with undergraduate teaching experience. The opportunity to teach a 200-level course in Asian Philosophy or Environmental Philosophy or Feminist Philosophy is available for qualified candidates. Ph.D. in Philosophy required.
