Beijing Normal University is one of the leading universities in China; the School of Philosophy of BNU ranks 51-100 in QS Rankings by subject in 2019. It is inviting applications for positions on Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in both Beijing and Zhuhai campus. This means the School of Philosophy is hiring two associate professors, two assistant professors, or one of each. Salary: very competitive Job description: During the period of employment, successful candidates are responsible for teaching at least one course per year, and are required to publish at least two SSCI or A&HCI papers in one of the leading journals within three years, and participate in one of the research projects held by the school. Requirements for the Assistant Professor Position: PhD in hand (or expected soon) in any areas of philosophy; published 1-2 articles in one of the leading journals in philosophy. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you can get the position of the Assistant Professor or not, it depends on the decision from both of the school of philosophy and of the university. Therefore it takes time for both sides to get through the process. Requirements for the Associate Professor Position: PhD in any of the above-mentioned areas; at least 3 years of teaching experience at reputable universities after obtaining PhD, at least 3 published articles in leading journals; one monograph is not necessary but desirable. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you can get the position of the Associate Professor or not, it depends on the decision from both of the school of philosophy and of the university. Therefore it takes time for both sides to get through the process. Language: Excellent in English (written and spoken), good in ancient and modern European language (not necessary but desirable). |

When all documents are received and reviewed successfully, applicants will be arranged for a trial lecture and an interview with college academic committee.
