Tenure-Track Faculty Position in the History of Political Philosophy (16th to 20th Centuries) 

The Faculty of Philosophy at Université Laval invites applications for a regular Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in the History of Political Philosophy (16th to 20th Centuries)

Description of the position:

The candidate selected to fill this post will teach full-time in our undergraduate and graduate programs in the field mentioned above. The candidate will be expected to contribute to scholarly research in the History of Political Philosophy through their publications, as well as to supervise graduate student research in this area. She or he will also be expected to participate in academic and administrative activities.*

  • * Please note, all classes and administrative duties at Université Laval take place in French.

 

Required Qualifications

A PhD in Philosophy or equivalent, completed prior to the expected start date. A strong foundation in the overall field of Political Philosophy and its major figures during the period indicated. A demonstrated ability to perform independent and original research in the area of focus, with an orientation toward internationally recognized publication venues. Teaching experience. A relevant publication record.
