Assistant Professor

We're looking for someone whose training and research interests are in the Analytic tradition, who is capable of teaching undergraduate courses in some combination of epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of science, and the history of analytic philosophy, and who is committed to excellence both in residential undergraduate liberal arts teaching and in rigorous scholarship. Ph.D. must be in hand by August 29, 2013.   Dossiers should include CV, statement of teaching philosophy, 3 letters of recommendation, graduate school transcripts, evidence of effective teaching (including if possible summary teaching evaluations), and a writing sample.  Semester system; current teaching load is 3/2.  Normal undergraduate departmental duties.  Women and minority candidates are especially encouraged to apply.  Review of applications will begin on November 5, 2012 and continue until the position is filled.   For additional requirements and to apply, please visit: employment.denison.edu.
