Instructor

Requires a master's degree in philosophy. Doctorate Degree preferred. 

Qualifications: 

Position requires prior experience teaching standard undergraduate philosophy curriculum, preferably at a community college; knowledge of microcomputer applications, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; and proven ability to work independently. Additional experience teaching non-western philosophical traditions preferred. Requires Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check Clearance. 

Brief description of duties: 

Responsibilities include quality instruction of students; advisement of students; committee service as assigned; and related activities. Must be willing to teach utilizing alternate modes of delivery and at multiple locations. 

This full-time temporary position may be renewed if the faculty member's work performance meets college work standards.
