The Department of Philosophy at Manhattanville College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2013, pending final funding approval. Candidates for the position must have a Ph.D. in Philosophy by Fall 2013 with AOS open (but with a preference for Ethics) as well as comprehensive knowledge of the history of Philosophy and interest in contemporary Philosophy. He or she will be expected to teach such courses as Foundations of Philosophy and Human Values and to contribute to the General Education Curriculum. The successful candidate must have an excellent teaching record and is expected to advise undergraduate majors, supervise undergraduate research, be committed to scholarship, and perform college-wide service.
