Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY, PHILOSOPHY DEPARTMENT, Lubbock, TX. Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, beginning Fall 2020. Ph.D. prior to appointment preferred. AOS: Metaphysics and Epistemology, broadly construed (though department has special needs in philosophy of mind).AOC: Open. Undergraduate and graduate teaching. The teaching load is 2/2 with a course load reduction in each of the first two years. Research expectations typical of major research institutions. All faculty are expected to attempt to secure external research funding when possible. Some thesis supervision. Service duties include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students is highly desirable. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. Salary competitive. Summer work available.
