HENDRIX COLLEGE Assistant Professor of Philosophy: Tenure Track Hendrix College seeks applications for a tenure track position at the level of assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy, beginning August 1, 2013. The Ph.D. is required. AOS: Philosophy of Mind and AOC: Metaphysics and Epistemology. The successful candidate should complement the current strengths of the department, have an interest in the history of philosophy, and enthusiasm for representing philosophy in the conversations of liberal arts disciplines. The College seeks a person dedicated to undergraduate teaching, professional activity, and the purposes of a small, academically rigorous, liberal arts college. Salary and benefits are competitive. The application deadline is December 1, 2012. Application should include a letter addressing the candidate’s interest in teaching in a demanding liberal arts environment, a curriculum vitae, writing sample, and three letters of recommendation (including the phone numbers and email addresses of the referees), and transcripts of all graduate and undergraduate work.
