Job description |
The Department of Philosophy is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track professor position in ethics and political philosophy, at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The appointed candidate will be nominated for the Canada Research Chairs program, Tier II (junior). Responsibilities The appointed candidate will be expected to teach at all three levels of the curriculum, supervise graduate students, engage in ongoing research and publication, and contribute to the academic life and reputation of the University. The candidate will also be affiliated with the Centre de Recherche en Éthique de l’Université de Montréal (CRÉUM) and will contribute to the functioning of the center. Requirements - PhD in philosophy with specialisation in ethics and political philosophy. - Significant publications in the field of ethics and political philosophy. - Teaching experience. - The successful candidate must present a high-quality research program in ethics and political philosophy. - Proficiency in the French language.
