Assistant or Associate Professor

The Department of Philosophy at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, invites applications for a permanent full-time position to begin in August 2013. Rank: open. AOS: Ethics (broadly construed) or Phenomenology or Hermeneutics. AOC: Open. 2/2 teaching load during the first year; 3/2 thereafter. Start-up fund of $12,500 per year during the first three years. Approximate salary is $40,000. Ph.D. in Philosophy is required by time of appointment. Teaching experience strongly preferred. Responsibilities include introductory and advanced undergraduate philosophy courses as well as graduate seminars. The language of instruction is Spanish and the candidate will be expected to teach in that language from the beginning.
