Philosophy Faculty

Community College of Philadelphia is the largest public institution of higher education in the City. Community College of Philadelphia is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor/Instructor of Philosophy in the Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies for Fall 2013.


The primary responsibility is to teach a variety of undergraduate classes in Philosophy. Secondary teaching responsibilities may include courses in Humanities, and/or team-teaching within the Liberal Arts - Honors curriculum.

Job Requirements

Master's degree or ABD status in Philosophy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in Philosophy is strongly preferred.
• Candidates with broad experience and training in the area of liberal studies are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Undergraduate teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience teaching online courses is preferred.
