Opportunity: Kent State University at Stark invites applications for a nine-month, full-time non-tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Philosophy, beginning Fall 2020. The successful candidate will be able to teach introductory philosophy and ethics courses using original texts, as well as be able to teach critical thinking and introductory formal logic (including natural deduction up to identity and predicate logic). A full-time non-tenure track appointment typically requires a teaching load of 30 hours per academic year and the expectation of teaching excellence; professional development and campus and community service are also valued.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Philosophy is required by the time of appointment as is evidence of teaching excellence at the university level.
