Lecturer in Philosophy (Non Tenure Track) (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy, Religion and Liberal Studies is seeking a dynamic teacher to teach courses in the core curriculum. In addition to Survey of Philosophy, the successful candidate must have the ability to design creative, interdisciplinary courses for the core curriculum that incorporate primary philosophical texts and engage students in the classroom. Additionally, we seek someone with the demonstrable ability to teach writing and discussion intensive classes that incorporate domestic and global diversity, as well as feminist perspectives.

Preference will be given to candidates with competence in Continental, Comparative, Historical and/or Pluralist perspectives. The Philosophy and Liberal Studies program at Georgia College is committed to critical inquiry incorporating domestic, global, gender and sexual diversity. We are therefore seeking candidates who show a demonstrated ability to incorporate diverse perspectives in their classroom.
