| Details | The University of Sioux Falls invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Philosophy and Religion to begin the fall of 2013. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience.
Responsibilities include teaching courses at the undergraduate level in philosophy, ethics, philosophy of religion, introductory Christian theology, and junior-level World Religions. The competency to offer a course in the relationship between theology and science would be preferred. Faculty members are also expected to advise students, serve on faculty committees, participate in curriculum assessment and development activities, as well as fully participate in the life of the university, church and community. Successful candidates should be committed to academic excellence in a liberal arts environment and to the integration of faith and learning.
The qualified candidate must possess a Ph.D. (ABD considered); demonstrated effectiveness at teaching; personal commitment to the Christian faith; demonstrated service in the church; and a commitment to the mission of the University of Sioux Falls as a Christian liberal arts university.
The University of Sioux Falls, founded in 1883, is a Christian, liberal arts University of over 1,600 students (including non-traditional and graduate programs). Affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA, the University is a member of both the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities and the Council of Independent Colleges.
