Saint Joseph's University's Philosophy Department has an ongoing need for highly qualified part-time faculty. The main course available for adjunct staffing is Moral Foundations, PHL 154. We occasionally also have need for courses in the "Philosophical Anthropology" area of our curriculum (e.g. Philosophy of Human Nature, Philosophy of Death, etc.), Philosophy of Religion and Business Ethics. Philosophers with recent undergraduate teaching experience will be given preference. Applicants should be familiar with the University's mission as a Jesuit and Catholic institution. Part-time adjunct faculty may teach courses each semester on an "as needed" basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day and in the evening. Adjunct/affiliate faculty are expected to teach a specified course(s); prepare course materials; submit grades in a timely manner, and provide support and guidance to students.

Minimum Requirements:
Master's Degree in Philosophy or closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who have a PhD in Philosophy (or who are ABD); previous teaching experience and willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.
