Job description

Texas A&M University’s College of Liberal Arts invites applications for the Accountability, Climate, Equity, and Scholarship (ACES) Fellows Program. In recognition of Texas A&M University's Diversity Plan, the ACES faculty pipeline initiative promotes the research, teaching, and scholarship of early career scholars who embrace the belief that diversity is an indispensable component of academic excellence. ACES Fellows will benefit from: prescriptive mentoring, access to instructional best practices, a vast array of world-class research and productivity resources, and a robust network of renowned Texas A&M scholars from across disciplines. Fellows will begin their appointment in Fall 2021.

In partnership with the College of Liberal Arts, the ACES Fellows Program is funded by the Office of the Provost (https://provost.tamu.edu/) and administered by the Office for Diversity (https://diversity.tamu.edu/) at Texas A&M University. The College welcomes applications from scholars whose work aligns with a field or department in the Liberal Arts—with preference being extended to scholars of Africana Studies, and Latino/a and Mexican American Studies—and with demonstrated strength in, and evidence of, a respect for diversity and inclusion.

For more information about the program and its application requirements, visit the ACES program description (https://diversity.tamu.edu/Home/Accountability,-Climate,-Equity,-and-Scholarship-F). The application must be submitted online and is available at: http://apply.interfolio.com/74760. Applications are due by 9 a.m. CST on October 1, 2020.

For any questions related to eligibility or technical issues with the application, please email [email protected]. For questions pertaining the College of Liberal Arts, please email [email protected].

Please note that there are only a small number of ACES fellows positions available to the College of Liberal Arts as a whole. The Department of Philosophy is eligible, but not guaranteed, to receive an ACES fellows position.

Texas A&M University is committed to enriching the learning and working environment for all visitors, students, faculty, and staff by promoting a culture that embraces inclusion, diversity, equity, and accountability. Diverse perspectives, talents, and identities are vital to accomplishing our mission and living our core values.

Texas A&M University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Veterans/Disability employer committed to building a culturally diverse educational environment. Applications from women, minorities, and members of other underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged and will be actively sought. The University is aware that attracting and retaining exceptional faculty often depends on meeting the needs of two careers and therefore implements policies that contribute to work-life balance.
