Teaching Fellow

Fixed term to 14 June 2013, 0.8 fte

Salary range: starting at £30,122 and rising to £35,938 per annum, pro rata       

Expected start date: January 2013

The University of Sussex wishes to appoint a Teaching Fellowship in Philosophy. The successful applicant will convene and teach on two second year Undergraduate modules: Philosophy of Mind and Philosophy of Science; and one MA module (in analytic philosophy), Language and Truth.

The successful applicant will be an established or promising scholar with some teaching experience and possess, or be about to receive, a PhD in some central area of analytic philosophy. She/he will be demonstrably competent to teach across the specified modules. Candidates working in Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Science, Metaphysics, or Philosophy of Language are especially encouraged to apply. Existing or forthcoming publications in journals of a professionally recognised standard are desirable but not necessary.
