UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME, Notre Dame, IN. Two appointments to begin Fall Semester 2021. Rank: Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or Associate Professor (with tenure). AOS: We seek candidates with a serious research interest in ethical, political, and/or social issues involving emerging technologies. Area of specialization is otherwise open. AOC: Open. Teaching at all levels. Normal non-teaching duties. Salary competitive. Semester system. Appointment will be to the Department of Philosophy, with an affiliation with the Notre Dame Technology Ethics Center (ND-TEC). ND-TEC is the centerpiece of Notre Dame’s major new investment in technology ethics, and will develop and support multidisciplinary research and teaching on normative and applied questions related to the impact of technology on humanity. The Department of Philosophy is a pluralistic department which welcomes applications from philosophers of all backgrounds.
