Lecturer or Senior Lecturer

The Department of Philosophy at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer beginning fall of 2013. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Philosophy prior to appointment. The areas of specialization and competence are open. The Department, however, will take into consideration its research and teaching interests, as well as its need to diversify its curriculum. The language of instruction at Ben-Gurion University is Hebrew; hence, the ability to teach in Hebrew is mandatory.

• The deadline for applications is January 31, 2013.

Applications must include the following:

• A cover letter stating willingness to begin teaching in the fall of 2013.
• Curriculum Vitae.
• A “Scientific Biography” outlining research orientation and a description of future research plans.
• A description of four courses the candidate can teach.
• Electronic copies of 2 articles (published or unpublished).
• Three letters of recommendation.
