| Details | The Department of Philosophy at the University of Bristol is seeking to award two fully-funded PhD studentships from 1st October 2013. They are funded by the European Research Council (ERC). The studentships each provide full tuition fees and a tax-free stipend of £13,590 per annum for 3 years. The studentships are for doctoral projects on topics related to the ERC Starting Researcher Grant on Epistemic Utility Theory: Foundations and Applications, led by Dr Richard Pettigrew. Applicants should have a very strong undergraduate degree and should ideally have or be undertaking a Masters degree in a relevant discipline, such as philosophy, psychology, economics, or mathematics, or have relevant research experience in a related field.
