Andrew W Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Philosophy (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at Bowdoin College invites applications for a one-year teaching postdoctoral fellow to begin July 1, 2021. A Ph.D. by July 1, 2021 is preferred; ABD considered. This is a full-time position. Teaching responsibilities for this position will consist of three courses over two semesters. AOS and AOC open, though we are particularly interested in offering courses that will broaden our curriculum in ways that invite engagement with other fields, expand the scope of our own, and open our doors widely to curious students. Examples might include philosophy of technology, environmental philosophy, race and racism, gender and sexuality, philosophy of biology, philosophy through literature.
