What is the difference between an ad and a stub?
Ads are submitted by employers and contain full details and text regarding a position. Stubs are entered by PhilJobs staff and contain basic details regarding a position and links to a venue where full details can be found. We encourage departments to convert stubs into proper ads. We normally email advertisers a link to do this. If you have not received such a link, contact us with the details of your ad.

This is a new post intended to increase the department's research strengths in moral and political philosophy, to support the highly successful PPE undergraduate programme, and to contribute to the establishment of appropriate MA programmes.
You will conduct philosophical research and teaching in the area of moral philosophy. You will have a clear research agenda in this area, and be willing and able to translate that agenda into credible external grant applications. You will be prepared to work in collaboration with colleagues within the Philosophy Department, and across PPE and the University and will be expected to participate as appropriate in the administration of the Philosophy Department, including the development of new initiatives in teaching and research.
You will have a proven record of achievement in research, with clear potential for and/or demonstrated excellence in publications, commensurate with your career stage. You will have undergraduate teaching experience, and experience of/or potential to engage in postgraduate teaching and have knowledge of applying for funding, and the potential to participate in collaborative grant initiatives and management.
