Lecturer in Philosophy

Salary of £40,634 to £47,047 per annum inclusive.

We welcome applications from candidates with research specialisations in all areas of philosophy, though their research interests should fit with the brand of analytic philosophy informed by the social and/or natural sciences for which the Department is noted. The following areas of specialisation would be desirable but are not essential: philosophy of economics, philosophy of science or social science, philosophy of biology, or philosophy of cognitive science.

You should have excellent research and teaching skills and be willing to contribute actively to the running and teaching of the Department. You should have completed your PhD or be near to completion by the time of appointment.
