Job description

The Department of Philosophy of The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for full time positions as a member of the non-tenure track teaching faculty for the 2021-22 academic year. Teaching is anticipated to be in-person in these semesters. The start date for this position is Fall 2021.

We seek full-time teaching faculty to teach undergraduate courses in Philosophy. A Master’s degree in a related field is required for Lecturers and a Ph.D. in related field is required for Assistant Teaching Professors. In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity. Non-Tenure track teaching faculty normally teach three courses per semester.
