Job Description

The Philosophy Department at Aquinas College, a Catholic liberal arts institution in the Dominican tradition, invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position in Philosophy at the assistant professor level, to begin August 2013. We seek a collegial teacher-scholar, preferably with a specialization in Ethics and Political Theory, Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Religion or History of Philosophy, who is dedicated to students and liberal arts education. Fluency in the philosophy of Thomas Aquinas would be a distinct asset.

Aquinas faculty normally teach four courses per semester, contribute to departmental planning and assessment, share academic advising responsibilities, and participate in faculty governance.
