The Department of Philosophy at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) invites applicants to apply for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. This position's primary research falls within social and political philosophy. These duties include teaching, research, and service.

Examples of Work Performed

40% Teaching - including lower and upper/graduate level seminars, in person and online, occasional independent study courses and/or thesis supervision.
40% Research - writing articles, conference papers for presentation, and possibly manuscripts.
20% Service - committee work at all levels, professional boards and journals, and other similar service.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at $72,000 to $78,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Minimum Qualifications

A completed doctoral degree in Philsophy.

Preferred Qualifications

The department seeks a scholar who has research and teaching background in Social and Political Philosophy in the Continental tradition, particularly in the areas of phenomenology and decolonial theory.
