| Job description |
The Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Freiburg invites applications for a currently vacant Full Professorship (W 3) for Hermeneutics and Phenomenology in the Department of Philosophy. The holder of the position should have an internationally recognized expertise in the field of hermeneutical and phenomenological philosophy in the Freiburg and Freiburg-based tradition. A further innovative, systematic, interdisciplinary and/or intercultural focus would be desirable. Experience and interest in interdisciplinary collaborative research (e.g. SFB, GRK) is required as well as the willingness to work in interdisciplinary and international study programs. Prerequisites for the employment of professors are a university degree, an outstanding dissertation and an excellent publication record. Substantial achievements and experience in academic research and teaching, at the level of a Habilitation according to the German academic system, are expected.
