Assistant or Associate Professor (EXPIRED)

Applications are invited for a permanent appointment as Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Philosophy in the School of Liberal Arts and Science (Philosophy) to commence on January 1, 2022. Applicants should possess a PhD degree or equivalent in philosophy by the time of employment. We seek candidates with a solid commitment to teaching and a willingness to pursue excellence in research. Duties include (a) academic research and publications; (b) teaching four courses a year over two semesters in philosophy and political science (major and foundations); and (c) assisting in administrative work of the School. Applicants with a strong research program at the intersection of moral and political philosophy and proven teaching experience in ethics, epistemology, and political theory are strongly preferred.
